It’s Taurus season now!
How can we utilize the most of this season and make the best of this earthy aspect of Venus?
In tarot, Taurus is associated with The Hierophant while Venus is associated with The Empress.
Both of these archetypes embody the qualities of Venus in that they both care for others in their own ways.
The Hierophant which is Taurus is built upon tradition and foundations, teachings and structures that society and belief is built upon.
It’s no wonder that these material and earthly foundations of society’s beliefs of what’s good and what’s bad, what’s moral and immoral founded in the 2nd house in astrology has its opposite interpretation in Scorpio located traditionally in the 8th house.
Many people may be uncomfortable with the historical idea of The Hierophant.
However, when one develops their own understanding (and not having to agree or subscribe to it), The Hierophant as a foundational teacher in earthly spirituality and bringing big conceptual ideas of spirituality to the masses can have a profound effect.
Every year, Taurus season gives us an opportunity to reconnect to our values, our relationship to material things and money, what we believe about our physical world and how we relate to this physical world whether it’s through money, earnings or values.
New Moon in Taurus and Full Moon in Scorpio
The full moon in Scorpio shines a light on these things and can destroy some of these false beliefs, values that no longer serve us, taking us deeper into these depths to question about money, finances, our personal relationship to the material world and our understanding of it.
The new moon in Taurus can create abundance and wealth.
However, when we see The Hierophant, he reminds us that you can’t buy your way into Heaven (that is if you subscribe or believe that) or that money means nothing in the afterlife (as noted in the mythologies of the ancients such as the Greeks’ representation of Hades or the Norse representation of Helheimur/Helheim.)
