50 Books about Witchcraft

The ultimate book list of witchcraft and Wicca books. 50 books about Witchcraft.

Looking for new material to read on your spiritual journey? Look no further.

I started my journey into the Craft over 20 years ago and since then, I’ve amassed quite a book collection.

However, over the years, I’ve given away books, lost books during moves, and repurchased some through e-book apps. Many of the authors that I’m familiar with, go way back to the early 90s and some of them even before that.

When you start your path in the Craft (and even if you’re more experienced), it’s ideal to read as many different resources and types of traditions of the Craft to expand your horizons and repertoire.

In time you’ll find which authors you resonate with, which materials you like or dislike, what works for you, and what aligns with your own personal beliefs.

The Craft is unique that it accepts eclectic solitaries who can “mix and match” their beliefs to form their own spirituality as opposed to a religious doctrine or specific tradition.

For the solitary witch, books and online resources are where most of the information is received and learned.

This has grown dramatically as social media has evolved and expanded, and now more and more witches can share their practices, spells and traditions more freely (if able to and not oath-bound.)

I’ve read about 95% of all of these books listed in the list below; the ones that I haven’t read are from authors whose works I know and trust, but haven’t managed to find the time to read them just yet. (This list is therefore my reminder to do so!)

Each of these books has their pros/cons, which some will work for you better than others.

Some of the books listed are reference books, guidebooks, spell books, instructional books, documentary and history of Witchcraft as a religion/spirituality, and even poetry.

A few of these books may be hard to find, but most can be ordered from online retailers like Amazon and Chapters/Indigo (Canada), as well as in e-book apps like Kindle and Kobo.

So, in no particular order, here are 50 Books about Witchcraft:

    1. I just recently read Witch by Lisa Lister… amazing ! I love Deborah Blake’s books as well. I would add The Inner Temple of Witchcraft by Christopher Penczak. I’ve learned alot from this book… it has suggested exercises at the end of every chapter and everything is explained very well. As soon as I’m finished, I’ll move on to The Outer Temple of Witchcraft.

    2. I am super new to all this in terms of a spiritual journey. I have always been interested but I’ve had a crazy christian mother. I stumbled upon your posts on pinterest and I am super excited!

I just ordered a whole Wicca series by Monique Joiner-Siedlak. Have you heard of her?

I am definitely going to be following you on all your outlets!
