Weekend Card: February 3-5 2017 – The Star Reversed

Many of us may feel dejected or despondent about the state of current affairs and what is happening in our lives and in the world. But do not despair.

The arrogance of others may have a negative affect that causes more frustration and disillusionment, but we mustn’t let it defeat us.

The Star is associated with the astrological sign Aquarius known for its humanitarian and futuristic thinking.

These aspects are currently under attack, we need more drive to push forward.

This is important now that we are in Aquarian season.

The Star reversed reflects these difficulties and threats to the humanitarianism that is the very essence of Aquarius.Try not to become overwhelmed if you don’t know exactly where to begin.

Find community, friends, colleagues, allies and work together to give each other support as you make efforts to make your voice heard.

The Star reversed can also mark the Heroine’s Journey into the Underworld.

The Heroine is considered similar to the Hero’s Journey as depicted with The Fool’s Journey through the Major Arcana, except the Heroine goes through the Major Arcana as they are reversed instead of upright.

This can be interpreted as dark times upon us, and we must go deeper into the shadow aspects that are surfacing, that have been simmering under the surface and now rising up.

As the Heroine goes further into these underworld aspects to see what we’re facing and go within in order to come out the other side.

The work over this weekend will require going deeper into the darkness and shadows.

There will be starless nights and dark days, but we will then emerge from the other side as shown in many mythological stories that heroes undergo tests in the Underworld and then can resurface once again.

The important factor to take away is to not become consumed or overtaken by the darkness around you. Keep the light within your heart, soul and mind as you traverse threw these uncertain times.

This is a test of our humanity.

We know what history has done, now we have a new generation to prevent it from repeating.

If you feel despondent, hopeless or insecure about matters this week, find faith and hope in something to keep going. There may be setbacks, but remember to keep at it.

Find the hope within yourself and in others, even in the darkest of times.
