Card of the Month: June 2016 – Five of Swords Reversed

Pick your battles carefully. You may win the battle, but could lose the war. This month may be a stressful or action-packed month with lots going on or to do. “Some days the dragon wins” may seem too pessimistic for this month, but if you think of yourself as a knight fighting dragons as they appear, it may seem like an ongoing battle. However, there will be wisdom in it. Something may not be worth the fight and therefore you’ll lay down your sword so to live to fight another day. Perhaps you might win on a different occasion, but at what cost? You may experience a defeat, but remember there may be another chance later for redemption. This month may also be a time to “bury the hatchet” and make amends in order to move forward. You may end up feeling battle-worn and tired by the end of it, so making time to recuperate will be important to avoid feeling exhausted from it. (Even soldiers on the field get the occasional R&R leave.) However, depending on how the month is handled, you may end the month a bit more experienced and wiser.
